About the wakeboarding experience

There are two ways to make an impression on a wakeboard: pull off a smooth ride or deliver the afternoon’s most spectacular wipeout.

Head to a lake just outside Budapest for a summer stag activity that combines sport, sunshine and plenty of entertainment from your mates’ first attempts. Find your balance, get moving across the water and see who actually lives up to their pre-session boasting.

Between rides, the lakeside bar, music and sun loungers make it easy to enjoy some downtime. Whether you are there to master the board or provide commentary from the shore, it is a cracking escape from the city.

How the activity works

• Your guide joins the group for a private minibus journey to the lake, approximately 18 km from central Budapest.
• Collect your wakeboard, helmet and life jacket.
• Beginners join an instructor-led session during the morning teaching hours.
• Spend an hour trying wakeboarding, building confidence and comparing your best rides—and falls.
• Afterwards, enjoy some time beside the lake before returning to Budapest.
• Your minibus can drop you at your accommodation or an agreed restaurant in the centre.

Bring your swimwear. Some snowboarding experience may help with balance, but first-timers are welcome.

• Location: Lake approximately 18 km from central Budapest
• Wakeboarding session: One hour
• Beginner lessons: Between 10:00 a.m. and noon, daily
• Typical pickup for beginners: Around 9:00–10:00 a.m., depending on your booking
• Maximum time on site: Three hours
• Total duration: Approximately four hours, including transfers

Important information

• Bring your swimwear; the board, helmet and life jacket are provided.
• Book a morning session if your group needs beginner instruction.
• Drinks and other purchases at the lakeside bar are separate.
• Save alcoholic drinks for after wakeboarding. Groups arriving intoxicated or under the influence of drugs may be refused.
• Dangerous behaviour will result in the activity being stopped.
• The advertised per-person price is based on a group of 10 booking at least two activities.

Frequently asked questions

Can beginners take part?

Yes. Beginner sessions with an instructor run daily between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Tell us your experience level when booking.

How long is the wakeboarding session?

The session lasts one hour. Allow approximately four hours for the complete outing, including transfers and time at the lake.

What equipment is included?

A wakeboard, helmet and life jacket are provided. Bring your own swimwear.

Are transfers included?

Yes. Your group travels to the lake and back by private minibus, accompanied by a local guide.

Can we relax at the lake afterwards?

Yes. There is a bar, music and sun loungers beside the lake. The transport arrangement allows up to three hours on site.

When is wakeboarding available?

The activity runs from May to October.

Can the minibus take us to lunch afterwards?

Yes. A drop-off at an agreed restaurant in central Budapest can be arranged.
