This activity is perfect for a city center aperitif, especially for wine enthusiasts.

Step-by-step: 

  • Your guide will meet you at the designated meeting point or in front of your apartment, and then you’ll go together to one of the best wine bars in the city center.
  • The bar’s specialist will introduce you to the most important Hungarian regions and grape varieties during the tasting.
  • You’ll have 0.5 liters of wine included per person.
  • An assortment of delicious cheeses, olives, bread, and Hungarian charcuterie (selection may vary).
  • The guide takes care of all the details and remains at your disposal until the end of the activity.

Schedule: 

  • The bar is located in the city center, and you can reach it by walking, public transport, or taxi at your own expense.
  • The duration of the tasting is approximately two hours, but it depends on the size of your group and your pace.
  • Popular hours are between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • The activity is available year-round, from Monday to Sunday, between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Options to add: 

  • If you want to explore more wine bars and famous landmarks of Budapest (from the outside) during a walk and tram ride along the Danube, choose the option: Budapest Discovery with Wine and Tapas. Here, you’ll visit four wine bars in the city center on both the Pest and Buda sides. You’ll pass by landmarks like the Parliament or the Basilica during the transfers, and your local guide will tell you everything you want to know. It’s a perfect mix of tasting, fun, and exploration.

Activités to add:

  • The wine tasting with tapas is a perfect activity for the afternoon or as an aperitif before dinner.
  • In the morning or early afternoon, you can engage in sports activities such as a soccer match, paintball, or shooting session, for example. In the afternoon, you can enjoy several fun activities in the city center without the need for a minibus transfer.
  • The riverside is just a few minutes away by tram or about a thirty-minute walk from the wine bar. Consider taking a Danube cruise before or after the tasting for a comprehensive program.
  • If you schedule the wine tasting for around 3 p.m., you can start a challenge course around 5 p.m., allowing you to combine multiple activities before dinner.
  • You can fit in an escape room, horror game, axe throwing, speed boat activity in the early afternoon, followed by the wine tasting with tapas as an aperitif around 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • A Hummer can pick you up, and after an hour-long tour of Budapest, drop you off at the restaurant or bar of your choice to continue the evening.

Good to know: 

  • The price is calculated based on a group of 10 people with a minimum of two activities and is per person.
  • The organizer reserves the right to refuse groups that arrive in a state of drunkenness or under the influence of drugs, and in case of dangerous behavior, the activity will be immediately suspended.
