About the Budapest stag challenge course

Ready to give the groom a series of challenges worthy of his Budapest stag do?

Accompanied by a local referee, your group will compete in eight entertaining games across several bars and outdoor locations in central Budapest.

The challenges test speed, musical knowledge, teamwork and the groom’s ability to stay calm under pressure. Everyone can participate, but the groom should expect to receive plenty of attention along the way.

Complete all eight challenges successfully and your group wins a bottle of local sparkling wine.

How the challenge course works

• Your local host meets the group at an agreed city-centre location or outside your accommodation.
• The starting point is in central Budapest and can normally be reached on foot, by public transport or by taxi. Transport is not included.
• During the activity, your group visits several nearby bars and completes eight challenges indoors and outdoors.
• Your referee explains the games, keeps the atmosphere lively and decides whether each challenge has been completed successfully.
• Cheating may earn a yellow card and a penalty shot.
• The eight challenges:
• 1. Beer pong: Aim for the opposing team’s cups and make them drink when your shot lands. Two to three litres of beer are provided for the game.
• 2. Beer through a straw: Try to finish a beer through a straw in under one minute.
• 3. Music quiz: Put your musical knowledge to the test by identifying songs, performers and musical clues.
• 4. Keep a cool head: Retrieve the shot glasses placed on a tray filled with ice—without using your hands. One shot per participant is included.
• 5. Escape from the tape: One member of the group is safely taped to a designated post. The group must free him in under three minutes.
• 6. Human pyramid: Build a stable human pyramid and hold the pose for 10 seconds.
• 7. Blind cocktail tasting: The groom becomes the group’s cocktail expert for a few minutes and must identify the drinks in a blind tasting. Every incorrect answer earns him a spicy penalty during the next challenge.
• 8. Spicy-shot roulette: Each participant selects one shot—but one of the glasses contains a spicy surprise. One shot per participant is included.
• If your group completes all eight challenges successfully, you win one bottle of local sparkling wine.
• The referee has the final decision on whether each challenge has been completed. There may also be additional surprises during the activity.

• Location: Central Budapest, including the Opera and Andrássy Avenue area
• Duration: Approximately two to three hours
• Availability: Afternoon and evening throughout the year
• Transport: Not included
• The bars are located within a short walk of one another, allowing your group to explore part of central Budapest while completing the course.
• The exact duration depends on your group size and how quickly you finish each challenge.
• If the weather is rainy or cold, challenges normally held outside can be moved indoors or adapted where possible.

Optional additions

Little-person handcuff prank

Make the course even more unpredictable by having the groom handcuffed to a little-person entertainer for approximately one hour.

Plus-size performer handcuff prank

Alternatively, arrange for the groom to complete part of the course while handcuffed to a plus-size performer.

Activities to combine with the challenge course

• Private Danube cruise: The departure area for Stagventure’s boats is a short tram journey or approximately a 30-minute walk from the challenge-course area.
• Arrange a private Danube cruise before or after the course to create a complete afternoon or evening programme.
• Horror labyrinth: Give the groom another surprise with a visit to a horror labyrinth before beginning the challenges.
• Strip-club experience: Continue the evening at a Budapest strip club from approximately 9:00 p.m. Packages may include entry, a reserved table, bottles and adult entertainment.
• Private strip show: Arrange a surprise performance at your accommodation at another point during the day or evening.
• Hummer party tour: Add a Hummer ride before or after the challenge course. Collection and drop-off can be arranged at agreed locations, subject to availability.

• The advertised per-person price is based on a group of 10 booking at least two activities.
